    Hey guys!

My name is Brian, I own BilletProof Racing, a small shop where we develop electronics solutions for aftermarket niches like the 4G Eclipse, some motorcycle componenets, etc.etc.

I was invited here by Rapidburn, as I've been working with him to get a PnP harness solution for you guys to run the AEM FIC. I've developed a nice harness for the 4G eclipse that people have been using for 1 1/2 years now, so there's no reason you can't have one as well.

The ECU connectors on these car cannot be purchased for the manufacturer anymore, but I was able to secure the actual terminals. SO, I've made what I call a Pin-n-Play harness for the 4G. It's a complete harness that goes from the FIC inside the vehicle to the ECU. It comes with paper instructions, wiring diagram, and best of all an installation DVD that walks you step-by-step through each aspect of the install. I designed it this way so the average guy could install it himself without the need for cutting up the factory harness. There's NO cutting, NO splicing, NO soldering, and NO altering of any wires. This can be removed with no damage to the stock harness whatsoever. The harness is cheaper than what a shop would charge for an install, and it doesn't hurt your factory wiring.

Also, there is special circuitry built into the harness that will allow proper interfacing of the MAF sensor (assuming you have the same MAF as the 4G Eclipse) to the FIC. We also developed a way to ADVANCE the ignition timing on the 4G with the FIC...this provided an additional 10 HP over fuel tuning alone (fuel tuning only gives 10-20HP depending on how rich it is in stock form), so we've seen 30HP with fuel and ignition tuning on the 4G...but I've also seen as little as 15HP...just depends how rich you are stock.

I'm in the process of getting information from rapidburn so I can complete his harness to make sure the lengths are right for the 9G, once everything looks good, I'll just have to re-label the wires to match the 9G ECU pinout and we should be good to go.

    Any questions, comments?

    Brian

It looks like we're close to doing this so if you'd like to learn more or take part in the discussion, the thread can be found here...
